Hey guys,

Here's a preview of my first skin release. I just need to add the markings and numbers. Any requests for a certain unit???


  

Very early model ('42) command vehicle with aerial identification cloth, main gun with lacquer finish, and missing tool box.

Just driven off of the rail car, still clean, . . . and not yet bloodied!

I'll add the markings and numbers and then release it. Need to do a little research first.

I was so impressed with the name of the thread I forgot to look at the tank...   it looks great...




Members:  We need to watch this guy... he has already impressed the hell out of me...

Hey guys,

I'm still learning the ropes so let's not get carried away. I have a long way to go before I get to Maya.
Besides, I'm having trouble loading the 1_h.dds file into the map editor. I know it's the .dds file because I've traded it in and out of the unit folder and the original loads fine. Anyways, I sent it to MP, so hopefully he can get it straightened out. I'm glad there's help around otherwise this trial and error stuff would take forever. Thanks a bunch.

Hey guys,

Here's my first official unit release. A Pz. Kpfw. VI Ausf. H2 Command Tank. I included 3 versions of the 1_h.dds file to give you a choice of texture.
I excluded markings to give you the option to personalize it yourself, or maybe VO can grab it and sink some unit markings on it.

The first, and original I just recolored using desaturate and a little recoloring, except for the flag, of course.

The second, 1HDR1_h.dds, I used a couple of effects mostly used in "Faux HDR" manipulation of photographs, hoping to create a "pop" effect.

The last, 1HDR2_h.dds, is basically the same as the second but I used a layer mask to recover some of the original color, softening the shadows of the main gun and the road wheels somewhat.

I was going to add some pics but it says the file is too big. Take a look at each texture and tell me what you think.

I need to practice my coloring and familiarize myself with GIMP's menus and filters.

Hey guys,

Here's one for the ladies!

In honor of the Night Witches, the Russian female bomber pilots, I present my BK rendition of a PO-2 Bomber.

I left out the number because it represents all and I didn't want to focus on just one plane.




Ooops! Almost forgot the link

Now, if MP or someone else could only hook up some working bombs to it, that would be well appreciated. 

Anyways, here's a couple of kittens the girls took along for the ride.

I didn't touch the crew. They were already there and looked good so I left them alone.

I just painted the body and replaced the stars.
