Does anyone know if it would be possible to have smoking chimneys in BK ? This may sound silly question but smoking chimneys would add realism to the Winter scenarios. Maybe it can be done easily so I was just wondering.

Actually it would be more realistic, but it takes some careful with the intensity of the smoke from the chimney, this should be very, very light, not hinder visibility field units. Imagine a city in winter and the whole map filled with smoke. Greetings friend.

Im developing a concept to make a simulated "ground camp fire" for one of BR's new SP Missions... But smoke from a chimney would be a challenge! Amazing idea man... that is in no way silly. Good games! -iLeeT_PeeP Thanks guys, iLeeT, I don't know much about the 1.xml file that controls the properties of objects but could you not make a "campfire" by making an object like a pile of wood and add flames to it in the damage model @50%. Then you could put the pile of wood on the map and decrease it's health points to 50% so the damaged pile of woold should have one point with flames, similar to other objects that burn when damaged. I hope you understand what I'm trying say. Wittmann, you're right of course, the smoke from chimneys should not be dense.

The skull idea is very much out-gives me the creeps. It should be animated but able to disappear rather quickly when exiting the chimney and perhaps only a few buildings if it becomes like Beijing.

I have solved the issue.... results on Thursday...
I need a couple of Custom Buildings since I do not want to apply this to a original Building.... Anyone wish to donate to the cause?
The solution uses a trigger under ambient sounds.... we add the smoke effect... rather than just a sound... requires a new locator and effect. The effect still needs some refinement but this is the best way to do it.

I knew you would solve the problem Major Why not use the buildings you made ? BTW. I found this campfire 'lagerfeuer' in Panzerkrieg. If you put the woodpile on the map and decrease the health to 25% then you get out the marshmallows Link below Campfire
