When it comes to toys, I've had somewhat similar experience as Ariete. Though we (my friends and myself) often lacked proper models. So we had to improvise and use our imagination. We would even use Lego toys (when we could get them) as substitutes. One of my fondest memory is when I got my first Lego toy set (a small one at that, they were really expensive). It was from the Wild West Series (or something like that). So one day my friends and myself came to an idea to recreate "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" movie using it. So after we somehow created that, we decided it would be nice idea to combine those characters with the characters from the Italian comic book called "Zagor". Turned out to be a really interesting combination.

my first toy tank was T-34 , tactical nr.102 after popular tv series about polish tank crew in Polish Army fighting along side Soviets. Of course it was more propaganda then real thing (made in 1960's in Poland ) but as kids we loved it.. and as old man now I still enjoy it.
I found clever trailer of that 1960's tv show with Expendables dubbing enjoy.

Nephilim thanks for your comment. I myself am movie geek. I will not comment on Fury (don't want to spoil it 4 those who didn't see it yet) But I much prefer WW2 films then Cold War flicks.. simply because it interests me much more then era in which I grew up..incidentally Cold War was direct result of WW2. Don't get me wrong here, I like some Cold War films..I guess its all up to individual taste and such Regards

Grot you don't like Ryan and Fury? I'm curious because I dislike both of them and I've never "met" someone who dislikes them.

I have to say something about Ryan scene . Remember guys our discussion about Vespe hatch? I am sure you do. In scene when Marder shoots at Bell Tower where sniper Jackson is and blows him to heaven.. well 2 Germans in open hatches, after they spotted him before taking a shoot at Bell Tower they close hatches. KKKKAAABOOOM !!
