Actually I liked this movie. One of the reasons is that there are few WW2 movies that show things from German side. Not really Ryan/Fury type of movie, but also not a masterpiece as Come and See. "Fun fact" - they showed it in my country on national television about a month ago, yet couple of years ago you couldn't find a decent copy of it.  |

Its hard to make Masterpiece about this war.. You will always find disagreements on all sides.
It seams to me the only Masterpiece would be to tell whole truth.. but nobody wants to touch it.

I have to say something about Ryan scene . Remember guys our discussion about Vespe hatch? I am sure you do.
In scene when Marder shoots at Bell Tower where sniper Jackson is and blows him to heaven.. well 2 Germans in open hatches, after they spotted him before taking a shoot at Bell Tower they close hatches.
KKKKAAABOOOM !!
I do not see anything unusual.  To me if I like this movie.  |

It is Stormartillerivagn m/43 converted to what they tried to achieve.. Marder III 
Rest are the pictures of that prep unit from Ryan and Band of brothers..

God that was as horrific as the first 30 minutes of Private Ryan. Gonna buy that movie. Just what my BK game looks like in my mind's eye. Freaking gave me chills even with the flu.

I watched the movie Stalingrad on a flight back from Bavaria in Sept. Great movie!
I have to add that there were two Germans sitting next to me, so I have to admit to feeling a little weird about watching it.
