Well, how many hatemail will there be? I never had one. Hatemail to Grot? Why? if its gone so far you get hatemail for giving an opinion I think we must reconsider not only the moderator thingy.
And Doug, what is hatemail? How do you handle hatemail? When is it hatemail or when is it a different oppinion? Do you block these members? Or how does this work?

I think the Major was just kidding with Grot. No reason Grot would get hate mail from here. He speaks his mind and I respect him. He says some stuff that cracks me up-in a good way.

..but where is Alexander fon Grozny? He is the founder of this portal and has an opinion as well. I don't like texts as mutiny etc. or friend this and that.. We're here for a game in first place,with many contibuters of which each contributes the best he can; thereby we can have friends, and be polite. In case there are different point of views all have the right to speak out. I believe recently this occured. It was done in respect and without being rude. But for me there is a line if people can not speak out because it concerns the God-erator.. Alexander checks in from time to time. He should be dropping in soon.. I agree... the Moderators must allow members to express themselves as long as Posts are respectful of others points of view. It was not my intent to be a God-erator... my apologies. I like the word VO has coined here - God-erator. Earlier in this Topic, it was suggested that there are several Moderators already in place. Unfortunately, most have moved on or only check in infrequently. As far as active Moderators, I'm it right now. I don't mind being a Moderator, but it seems like when I'm away for a day or two, things can get out of control. So if Alexander gives me a helper or two, things would be much better for me. I'm wishing to share the power. You guys have been great and taking care to police the forum for the most part. We should not have issues but we do. It is only when things get very close to the line or cross the line that Moderators need to be part of the solution to the issue. Most members behave as they should. It is only a handful that sometimes lose direction. I am feeling much better but still continue to heal and attend therapy. Walking for me is better than the last few years although still have a slight limp. I'm not sure if it will go away or just be the way it is. I still cannot sit on most chairs for very long, as the issue continues to be the pulling sensation in the hip if I sit for more than about half an hour. I'm hoping to be able to sit at my desk next week if I can get used to sitting in my chair. The kids are trying to find something else that helps me, but so far nothing. PET & MRI (Cancer Screening) on Thursday . -Update in a few sentences.- I'll be hanging around. I'm sitting in my easy chair with my legs up, have my laptop sitting on the table next to me, and dozing off and on.  EDIT ADDED: Von... I really don't get hate mail here. I sometimes get mail where the sender tries to piss me off or crosses the line as part of their other issues. I so sometimes dish out a punishment and hope to get their attention and change the way they act here. That might be a 30-day ban... call it a suspension rather than a ban. Sometimes I ride herd and monitor what they post and edit it when I need to. Every situation is different and it is surprising what some people come up with as their justification to cause issues. It is not productive to kick people out after they piss me off. This is not about me, nor is it my Forum. This is your Forum and I am only a member most of the time. My job as Moderator is to basically to hide and handle issues when they come up. My job as a Model Builder and member is to deliver stuff. I have only handed out one permanent ban since 2011. The majority of those that had issues have set them aside and become a good member. |

I just want you to know that Grot and I, we get phenomenally well, the two of us talk in PM, we talk about funny things, sometimes very serious things, as I do with many other members of this community.
This causes people to better know each other, can be confident enough to joke without being offended, because they know where the limit is.
When I had the courage to express myself, and my sentence was written the word "mutiny", only made it as a rhetorical, to make it clear where I am positioned. That's my freedom of expression.

My only concern is that we are all good friends and that this situation is not prejudiced by anything or anyone.

Every day I learn more members of this community, as though one already has a certain age, I can still learn from anyone regardless of their age or belief.

If it is true that this community revolves around a game "BlitzKriegI" is why I'm here, I demonstrate every day doing work for all without exception, without expecting anything in return, but also to be sharing and enjoying my friends in this game, also I have very clear that I owe them primarily, respect and admiration.
