I'm sure I've seen it in here, but have scoured the posts and can't find it. I'm looking to make it harder for my tanks to see, so that they need infantry/recce/command vehicle support to enable them to spot enemy units, unless they're very close to them. I tried cutting down their sight range, but now they don't engage units that are within their weapon range, unless they're also within their sight range or I manually target them. So I'm thinking sight power is the key. Do we know some values that will translate into nearer/farther detection?

Increasing the Camouflage value makes units harder to spot... as kaoz correctly suggested. Snipers are set to 70... so 40 to 50 would be a vast improvement.

Hello Ronson. Take a look at this. It has everything (almost) you need to know about the sight/sightpower/camouflage parameters. Tried and tested stuff there. Holy shit, the research is actually useful somewhere!

Ah, good stuff. I knew it was out there somewhere! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction kaoz and Herr Kodax. You too, Major. I'm going to have a look at the links provided, and pretty sure if it's not covered there, I'm still going to increase the cam value of the infantry. Thanks everyone!
