Well for a start ensure that you have set compatibility mode to Windows XP SP2 or SP3.
When in game you can control the game speed by tapping your + - keys on the keyboard number pad.
Game runs great on Windows 8.1 64bit.
Hope this helps.

george718 Hello there! The compatibility mode affects people in different ways. If setting the Compatibility mode to XP SP2/SP3 didn't work, try setting it to Windows 98, I've heard of instances where people actually fixed a lot of their issues just by doing that. It's a bit odd but if it works, I'm not going to complain about it. Will check for further solutions regarding the scrolling speed and the unit movement. Cheers!

thank you very much i'll try it and contact with you but about the compatibility windows 98 compatibility didn't work for all times sometimes the compatibility was set to 98 however the game speed was fast and setting the compatibility causd lag and some problems in the game it became more laggy but the speed was normal (it slowed down the speed but caused some lag in the game) and anyway thank you very much again and I'll try it again and see if it works I'm really happy to communicate with people play this great game

It's interesting how Blitzkrieg can run so differently on sometimes very similar systems, I have an i5 3570k processor and haven't had any need for the multi-core CPU patch.
I have to say unlike Blitzkrieg the CD-ROM version of Sudden Strike 2 was a real pain to get running nicely!
Glad the CPU patch worked for you george718. Out of interest please can you tell us what CPU you have in your system?

But sometimes I noticed that the patch didn't work and the game speed was still fast BUT I found the solution that to close the game and open it again and it worked properly as it should anyway that doesn't happen everytime just a few times the game was too fast and after closing it and running it again it worked fine with normal sped
