According to several sources I have consulted, Schoerner was the last Feldmarschall appointed in the German Army, in Hitler's last will and testament. I think he was the last of any branch of the service, but I could be wrong. (Never heard of Greim.)
Go ahead, tedi88.

Greim was both de jure and de facto last person to be promoted to Field Marshal in Germany. Also he was the last commander of Luftwaffe during WW2.
Also I'm giving my turn to Gott.

..., but I could be wrong. (Never heard of Greim.) Louis, that's why I supplied those links... You didn't willingly ignore them, did you? ;D Anyways, let's try having a more entertaining question this time. Under all the bearers of the "jump- wings", the British patch that got awarded to paratroopers after the successful execution of a certain amount of training- jumps, one somehow stood out quiet a lot. Especially because this "paratrooper" was covered all over with ... well... feathers. Please tell me, what kind of a "paratrooper" I'm talking about? Who did that "paratrooper" always jump together with? And which major military operation did that "paratrooper" participate in? Greetz from Hamburg.

No takers so far. How about a hint? I get the impression it is some kind of bird mascot.

Mhhh, I just thought about giving a small tip as well... A bird- mascot isn't too far away, just add the attribute of laying eggs... And this "mascot" was member of the 4th Para Brigade, 1st Airborne division. Maybe this helps??? Greetz from Hamburg.

they operate in market garden.. It was the 1st British Airborne Division and the major was Roy Urquhart... 1st Brithish Airborne is right (as I just stated... ;D), Market Garden even is the right operation. But I never heard of a Major Urquhart, he could lay eggs as well??? Nope, sorry, I ask for another member (or actually two) of the 1st British Airborne division. But, using the right keywords in google, you actually should be able to find the correct answer in a second... Greetz from Hamburg.

Hmmmpf, I honestly hoped that someone would come with the answer here, and I'm actualy not very keen with the way how you decide about the end of my turn Louis... Especially as simply googling "1st airborne" and "chicken" would have let to following link: www.pegasusarchive.org/arnhem/pat_glover.htm"Myrtle the Parachick became an accomplished flyer through this training, and by the time of Arnhem she could safely be released from 300 feet and would patiently wait on the ground for her master to collect her." ;D ;D ;D I guess, next question is open to anyone who thinks he has a good one. Come on, GotMitUns, we need a new question. This topic - the largest thread in the forum - is languishing. If you can't come up with something in about 16 hours, I might just throw it open.

Now this one isn't really hard. 1. Name of the officer on the photo? 2. His rank and the unit he commanded ? 3. Something on this particular photo is "strange". What is it? (this is the bonus part of the question)

Well it's simple really. ;D
Look at the medal. He is wearing Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. Now the photo is dated 6th of May '45. Considering that he was in the thick of the fighting during the same period it's rather strange that he had the time to pose for the photo.
That being said it was estimated by some experts, that this particular photograph was falsified to add swords to the Knights Cross.
Edit: I forgot you can proceed.
Also those swords are not legally presented to him according to the German Law.
