It certainly shares the elevation mechanism and general configuration with the 70mm St. Chamond, but as you said the carriage looks smaller (like the whole gun was scaled down). Perhaps it's a smaller calibre piece. Did they make any 57mm Guns of that type? As you suggest, it may be a 57mm but I could not find any documentation of St Chamond in 57mm. I was a bit hesitant about the 70mm since the barrel looks a bit small compared to a 75mm. I considered a mortar but at 7.65 or 75.6mm it still does not look correct. The sighting appenture is also slightly different for either the St. Chamond or a motar and resembles the sights from a Krupp, but nothing else is consistant with any documented Krupp I am aware of. So based on this, I still think the barrel and elevation mechanism is St Chamond. I think the carriage is a Skoda, making this one of the post WW1 hybrids that the Belgiums used. The St. Chamond was built by the French for Belgium and I don't know why it would not be possible that the French could have re-engineered carriages for up-graded guns. I await the correct answer since other than what I have stated, I am quite interested, but perhaps baffled as well. So come on Kenny... give us the answer.

Hehe, I've noticed back of the MG, near the metal end. It has common MAC circle, and in some documentary they have mentioned this specific model. Gotta find some nice pic for the next task :-)
