Well, obviously BK isn't the only game I play, but it's a staple. Lately it's been the Stalingrad sequel. I built this rig mainly for new games and I had to upgrade to Windows 7 because newer games aren't being made to be XP compatible. If this pc gives me 7 yrs like my last one, then I'll be happy. And I'll keep my XP box for when I'm feeling nostalgic for games that won't play on Win7.

You could always install a virtual machine to run XP games unless you are not only feeling nostalgic about the games but also about the good old XP box.

In regards to this, can someone tell me if there's an advantage to install a virtual machine (fur running XP on Seven) than installing XP in dual boot with Seven ?

In regards to this, can someone tell me if there's an advantage to install a virtual machine (fur running XP on Seven) than installing XP in dual boot with Seven ? The few advantages I can think of the VM is that you're not using nearly as much space on your hard drive, and the time you spendrestarting your pc every time you want to switch operating systems. I messed around with a Win98 VM once, and it's not just click next next next finish. You have to so a little studying. Maybe they've made VM applications simplier for the average user, I really can't say. But I think it would be worth a look. And Quintaxel, yes, a fault of mine is being sentimental, even to a pc. My XP box gave me a good long run and it's still runs good! I have an ATEN KVM that allows me to use the same keyboard, mouse and monitor for both pcs, so it's just the matter of having the space for 2 pcs, which I do. I had to find a work around with my wireless mouse, but after a few reboots of the XP box, it all works fine now!
