A tip, do not install your bk in the program files folder to avoid problems with mods and skins packs. I'm using windows 7 and the only problems I have is when I try to make screenshots and work with mods.

I just switched to Win7 64bit, apparently all fine, as soon as I installed my video card driver. Lovin it so much more than my old, infected Vista. ;D

Windows 7 is definitely an improvement over Vista. I have both Blitzkrieg and Rolling Thunder located in the root directory - not under Program Files where the installer wants to put them - and they both run okay.
However, I still can't get either of the MapEds to work. I've tried as they come from the install and with the updated MapEd, and they just don't even start running.
It's a good thing I still have an older computer running under Windows XP. Otherwise you wouldn't see all the stuff I've put out lately.

Louis, you make me nervous... I haven't tried opening the Map Editors yet (no time). I'm assuming you have the 64bit as well? Win7 is really pretty cool, and my 64 bit is much faster and nicer than Vista. However, the 64-bit part can be a b*tch too, some of my programs won't work and, being freeware versions, I'm not raising my hopes up on getting them to work. I sure do hope the Editors will work though. Can't live without 'em. ;D

Quite right SJ. After my initial problems getting the mapeditor ton run with windoze 7, I moved both BK and RT to a new folder (games) and everything runs smoothly, even entering the game from the mapeditor.

I still trust my xp and continue to do so, no problems. Good to hear that 7 is better than crappy vista and that BK runs fine after all.

Like SJ, i instal BK, RT on an other partition ......No Pb Ocelo "the 64-bit part can be a b*tch too, some of my programs won't work" somtime you have solve some compatibility problem,. Inside the property, select the compabibility onglet and choose "run like XP" or "run like Vista".... But i run the mapeditor without Pb..... So be assured

I have a full install of RT in both the C and D partitions, both of them in the root directory of the partition. They both work fine as games. Neither instance of MapEd will work, either as delivered from the install, or with the modified MapEd .exe file. The Starforce splash screen comes up, disappears, and then nothing.

My editors are working well, so far. I have no Starforce.
Starforce may be your problem if both Blitzkriegs have it. Though if it was out of date/invalid, your game wouldn't run either...

(I hope Bill doesn't read this!)
Every time I boot my computer in the morning, I still get a message that Starforce is incompatible with Windows 7.
The only way I could get RT to run with Windows 7 was with a no-CD copy of the game.exe. Since there isn't one for the MapEd, it won't run.
However, vanilla Blitzkrieg does not have Starforce, and I still need the No-CD version for it to run, and its MapEd won't run either. If it would run, I could transfer all the extra RT files over to it and be able to produce BK and RT missions on it.

LouisXIV. That is wierd. With the no CD patch, I can run both BK and RT. Both the map editors (updated versions), and run the game from within the editors. All I had to do was move BK from C:\program files (X86) to a new folder C:\games\. I didn't even need to re-install. Are you using Windows 7 Home premium?
