Hi Longfellow,
Now you got me. Wow! What a superb research you've done! I lack your sources, but if you provide me access to the mentioned Chinese Military context dictionary and perhaps a good vernacular Mandarin dictionary I think I can give you a hand on this. I believe it's worthwhile because, sometimes, the remarks are important to warn the player about next events in the mission. I have no special ability concerning languages, but I believe that learning is the best medicine to keep us alive...
Praise to you, again! M

generalhw was online on November 1st. He is in China and could likely help on this. Robin2009@163.comMorning Major, Thanks for the link and the suggestion and I will certainly contact him if the need arises. The explanation given by me was just to give mascarenhas2 an idea of what he can expect when starting out. My program now includes everything needed and the above task takes less than 2 mins to complete...I guess my real question to the poster was ""is it really necessary ?""....I will let him and the other members be the judge of that and as I said I will be more than happy to do the lua files if you and other members think it is necessary....probably less than an hour for all of the maps. Chances are I/we won't be receiving 50 or so Chinese maps at one time as we did and accordingly on a one to one basis the task is minor. I will however from now on include the lua files in my translations from any language. Sincere thanks for your help

M Morning my friend, I guess we missed each other in the posting process...please see my response to Major Pain. I cannot give you access to the program I use as it was used by me in my previous employ but I can and will give you links if you so wish to what I used before this program was updated. Many thanks for your assistance Cheers

Mascarenhas2Hi ..please find a link to a map in German done by Warlord George if you would like to try out your skills.. I have run the txt files through the translator one time to give you a rough idea done some of the lua files. The next stage for me would be the voice to text for the final product....if you have time give it a try. In this instance there appears to be more lua files than text files to translate. 1drv.ms/10ikcktCheers and love the picture of your pups.
